Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has openings for our Night shift and Weekend Day shifts Manager of General Manufacturing 1, to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals within our Manufacturing and Production organization. This leadership position will be supporting our Aerospace Structures Business Unit (ASBU) and is located on-site in Iuka, Mississippi. This position is on-site and cannot be performed remotely due to the nature of the role
A Manager General Manufacturing 1 is a professional responsible for overseeing the planning, coordination, and execution of manufacturing processes to ensure efficient and timely production of aircraft. This role involves managing a team of employees, implementing production schedules, ensuring quality standards are met, and optimizing production processes to minimize costs and maximize productivity. The Manager General Manufacturing 1 works closely with other departments to ensure that aircraft are produced to meet customer demand, delivered on time, and meet the company's financial goals. They are also responsible for maintaining safe working conditions and complying with relevant regulations and industry standards. Overall, the Manager General Manufacturing 1 plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and effective functioning of the manufacturing and delivery process.

Supervisory or management responsibilities for more than one functional area in the Manufacturing and Production job family.
Note: Positions will be filling one of the following shifts as needed: These shift includes a shift differential in addition to base pay.
B Shift: 7:00 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. (Mon-Thurs)
C Shift: 07:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. (Friday-Sunday)
Responsibilities include the following:
• Oversees the daily production and manufacturing operations of 15-20 technicians.
• Coordinate and lead operations start up meeting.
• Daily resource planning to meet customer/schedule demand.
• Collaborate with production scheduling to meet schedule requirements.
• Ensure tools, plans, people and material are available to complete assigned workload.
• Report production KPIs to site leadership
• Perform root cause analysis for corrective actions on safety & quality incidents.
• Mentor, train, and develop staff including performance management and corrective action.
• Drive continuous improvement in safety, delivery, quality and cost.

Basic Qualifications:
• High School Diploma or equivalent GED and 4 years of related production experience in aerospace, aviation, automotive, military, manufacturing, and/or related environment.
• Related experience can be defined as but not limited to production/manufacturing experience, production planning, and manufacturing data analysis.
• 1 year of experience leading projects or teams.
• Able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security Clearance and Special Program Access within a reasonable period of time as determined by the needs of the business.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Active Secret DoD clearance
• Aerospace manufacturing
• Leadership experience in a work environment (e.g. Group Lead, Supervisor, etc.)
• Experience supervising teams of 10+ employees
• Understanding of SQDEC (safety, quality, employee, delivery, and cost) KPIs
• Familiar with manufacturing processes and material flow
• Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Project)
• Experience with composite manufacturing, bonding, drilling

Salary Range: $77,800 - $116,600
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
