The College of Engineering, Center for Entrepreneurship at the University of Michigan invites applicants for a part-time LEO Intermittent Lecturer position to teach ENTR 490.013 Entrepreneurial Leadership during the Winter 2025 term.

Responsibilities*
The Center for Entrepreneurship (CFE) offers courses that exemplify experiential learning and foster an entrepreneurial mindset. These courses are open to all University of Michigan students across 19 schools and colleges.
The individual in this position will be a co-instructor for ENTR 490.013: Entrepreneurial Leadership during the Winter 2025 term. This course is a key component of the CFE's Entrepreneurial Leadership Program (ELP) and is designed to help students elevate their skills and ventures.
Throughout the course, students will:
- Learn and apply fundamental entrepreneurship principles, emphasizing leadership, team building, and culture.
- Develop entrepreneurial strategy skills in finance, marketing, and relationship management.
- Acquire project management skills through the completion of a capstone project.
- Stay current with entrepreneurship trends by preparing Startup Trends reports and presentations.
During the 15-week Winter 2025 term, the instructor(s) will be responsible for developing course materials, delivering in-person lectures, holding weekly office hours, preparing and grading assessments, managing and evaluating class projects, and supporting student teams and individual projects. Additional duties include refining assignments, overseeing project milestones, and participating in monthly Faculty Community Meetings with the CFE.
Required Qualifications*
- Master's degree in a relevant field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proven ability to teach and engage effectively in a classroom setting, with the capacity to establish credibility and build rapport with students.
- Expertise in business model conceptualization, organizational management, and the entrepreneurial process, including experience with idea conception, product or project development,
- customer relations, finance, and marketing.
- Experience in leading within multi-disciplinary, team-based environments.
- Strong aptitude for quickly learning and applying conceptual frameworks to meet practical student needs.
- Excellent collaborative team-building skills, strong communication abilities, and proficiency in oral and visual presentations.
Desired Qualifications*
- Advanced degree (Ph.D.) in a relevant field.
- Hands-on experience with startups, early-stage ventures, or corporate intrapreneurship, specifically in technology commercialization.
- Experience leading or founding startups, ideally within the Michigan entrepreneurial ecosystem or similar settings.
- Proven ability to secure early-stage venture funding, including grants and other investment types.
- Familiarity with Learning Management Systems, such as Canvas.
Modes of Work

Additional Information
This position is posted for the Winter 2025 term at 15% effort (6 hours per week).

This position is covered under the collective bargaining agreement between the U-M and the Lecturers Employee Organization, AFL-CIO, which contains and settles all matters with respect to wages, benefits, hours and other terms and conditions of employment.
