Job Description:

Apex Systems is looking for 2 TS/SCI Mid AWS Cloud Systems Operations Administrators to support one our clients defense programs in San Antonio, TX!

Minimum Requirements

• must have at least a Top Secret clearance and able/willing to be processed for an SCI
• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field required
• must be able and willing to be in San Antonio, TX (if not currently local, will have until June 2025 to relocate) and work onsite 100% of the time
• must hold a Security + AND 1 to 2 of the four below (two (2) years proven relevant experience may be substituted as applicable to each certification)
  • Operating a Production Kubernetes Cluster
  • Kubernetes and Cloud Native Associate (KCNA)
  • Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)
  • Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE)
  • RH294: RHEL Linux Automation with Ansible
• 8 years IT systems administrative experience with both Microsoft and Linux platforms
• 1 year applied experience on containerized platforms
• Proficient understanding of maintenance (patching, STIG, and upgrade processes) on AWS cloud infrastructure
• Demonstrated experience and/or training in system administration related to ability to manage and operate workloads on AWS systems
• Demonstrated experience in system administration support and management related to Amazon EKS
• Demonstrated experience in system administration and supporting development and test teams in AWS and along with an applied understanding of Kubernetes and traditional RHEL servers
