JOB DESCRIPTION
The Industry Technology Executive (ITE) at Apex Systems is an experienced consultant with extensive experience and insight into solving Communications industry problems through developing and delivering technology-based solutions. The ITE’s subject matter expertise encompasses multiple technology domains but is focused on the industry-specific application of technology to solve Communications industry business problems and develop competitive advantages in the market. As an expert in consultative solution sales, this role collaboratively partners with account teams and solution engineers to design, propose and win services engagements that drive success for our clients.
This role will play a pivotal role in executive level IT conversations with clients, instilling confidence in our clients regarding Apex’s expertise and ability to partner with their organization to develop and deliver technology solutions that enable their success. Reporting directly to the Industry Executive Leader, you will be responsible for collaborating with fellow Industry and Solution Leaders to continue to refine and build Apex’s go-to-market solution strategies in the Communications industry, leveraging existing Apex solutions and expertise, and building out industry-specific applications of those solutions to meet the needs of our Communications industry clients.
Additionally, the ITE collaborates closely with leaders across industries, solutions, and the consulting practice to ensure the company has the right tools and talent to successfully execute and deliver on the solutions that we sell. ITEs may be responsible for leading and managing a team of individuals in order to scale this function to enable greater services sales in the Communications industry. This position will be responsible for collaborating cross-functionally to develop training programs as needed.
Sales Enablement
  • Collaborate with fellow Industry and Solution Leaders to continue to refine and build Apex’s go-to-market solution strategies in the Communications industry, leveraging existing Apex solutions and expertise, and building out industry-specific applications of those solutions to meet the needs of our Communications industry clients. Communicate this strategy internally and cross functionally
  • Act as key advisor, consultant, and expert in bid and proposal efforts by proposing solutions, providing architectural technical guidance on proposed solutions, and providing work effort estimation and technical documentation
  • Collaborate with business leaders to create and execute a successful strategy for positioning Apex’s solution capabilities within the industry
  • Partner with account teams to respond to functional and technical elements of RFIs/RFPs and assist in sales cycles from initial contact through to contract signing. Uncover new opportunities with clients via consultation
  • Work cross-functionally with marketing, engineering, partners, and services teams to improve the sales cycle and enable seamless project delivery
  • Develop trusted advisor relationships with clients and generate repeat sales
  • Deliver polished presentations and demonstrations, articulating our value proposition

Solution Development
  • In collaboration with solution leadership, design and develop industry-specific use cases and solution offerings, including marketing and field sales enablement content
  • Collaborates closely with leaders across solutions and the consulting practice to ensure the company has the right tools and talent to successfully execute and deliver on the solutions that we sell.
  • Continuously stay on top of industry technology trends and develop expertise in emerging technologies in order to enable innovation within Apex’s solution offerings.
  • Create and own deliverable templates for repeatable and re-usable project execution

Solution Delivery
  • Support the project’s execution phase by providing leadership and oversight of engagement work products to ensure successful delivery as needed
  • Provide hands-on support for project initiatives for select engagements and serve as SME for clients and internal teams as needed
  • Conduct needs assessments and requirements gathering sessions to understand our clients challenges and goals; Design customized solutions involving various products and services to address clients specific needs
  • Collaborate closely with leadership in the industry, solutions, engagement management and consulting practice to ensure Apex has the internal talent to drive successful engagements and to ensure assigned resources have the necessary skills
