Legend Biotech is seeking (Director) Head of Digital Business Innovation as part of the Global Manufacturing & Supply (GMS) organization. The role could be based in Raritan, NJ, USA Or Ghent, Belgium.
Role Overview
This role is instrumental to support Legend Biotech ambition to be the Best-in-class global cell therapy supply organization, including having industry-leading digital capabilities. The Head of Digital Business Innovation leads the identification of unmet business needs and develops innovative, digital-first solutions that deliver measurable outcomes and foster a digitally empowered workforce. This role acts as a bridge between business and IT, ensuring digital initiatives align with business objectives and enterprise goals. Additionally, the role coordinates the execution of digital innovation initiatives, training programs, and investment opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify Opportunities:
- Analyze current business processes, user experience, and market trends to uncover unmet needs.
- Collaborate across GMS sites, functions, and IT teams to understand pain points and opportunities for digital improvement.
- Develop and review Proposals:
- Create detailed proposals and business cases that outline potential digital solutions, including benefits, costs, and timelines.
- Coordinate business review for proposals coming from IT partners.
- Work closely with IT to identify and evaluate the best available or innovative technologies.
- Present recommendations to senior leadership and stakeholders to secure approval and funding for initiatives.
- Ensure alignment of digital strategies with broader business goals.
- Portfolio Coordination and Roadmap Management:
- Oversee the digital projects portfolio from a PMO perspective, ensuring alignment with business priorities.
- Develop and maintain a consolidated digital roadmap to provide visibility and strategic direction across initiatives.
- Establish governance processes to ensure consistency and alignment across site-specific and global digital initiatives.
- Secure resourcing from sites and functions through their respective PPM processes.
- Oversee the execution of approved digital initiatives, ensuring timely delivery and effective collaboration across teams.
- Act as a liaison between business, IT, and external vendors to drive seamless implementation.
- Focus on User Adoption and Capability Building:
- Drive user adoption of digital tools and solutions through effective communication, training, and change management strategies.
- Develop and deliver training programs, workshops, and communication campaigns to enhance workforce digital capabilities.
- Measure Impact:
- Define success metrics and evaluate the impact of digital initiatives on business performance.
- Share insights and lessons learned to refine future strategies.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in business transformation, digital strategy, strategy consulting, or related fields
- Strong understanding of business processes and strategy, with a passion for digital transformation.
- Familiarity with digital tools such as data analytics platforms, workflow automation technologies, and change management frameworks.
- Proven ability to develop and present compelling business cases.
- Experience managing project portfolios and maintaining strategic roadmaps.
- Skilled in user adoption strategies and workforce capability development.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and project coordination skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams in a matrixed environment with strong interpersonal and adaptability skills.
