About the Role:
The primary function of this role is to lead technical delivery of products for wastewater clients and related business needs. Key efforts will include support of asset management data development, integration with other systems, and performing complex business and systems analyses for WTD clients including, but not limited to staff, consultants, and contractors. The successful candidate will serve as a technical expert/specialist for GIS specific or GIS related technology within WTD and will be expected to manage multiple projects and develop project requirements, execution plans, and scopes of work. Ability to work independently while maintaining group standards and protocols is a key aspect of this position. This group performs important work for a critical mission - protecting public health and the environment. The entire Division is filled with intelligent, passionate, and dedicated staff working towards this goal around the clock. GIS Specialists in the Wastewater GIS Team belong to a group responsible for the development and maintenance of data critical to planning, construction, operation, and asset management of the Wastewater Treatment Division's infrastructure. The use of GIS in WTD is expanding and expectations for its capabilities and integrations with other systems are growing. What You Will Be Doing:
- Support asset management in the development and collection of wastewater assets.
- Support integration with Maximo CMMS, Meridian ECMS, and Conveyance Inspection.
- Capital project delivery support and the development of a programmatic delivery approach.
- Lead development and deployment of products and services for clients using the online capabilities of ArcGIS, particularly ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Solutions, and Web Apps.
Experience, Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills
Qualifications You Bring:
- Advanced knowledge, and application, of GIS production of complex cartographic and other spatial data displays, analysis, and applications including eight years of applied professional experience in the application and use of GIS technology including two years of applied professional experience, knowledge, and skills with latest versions of ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Pro, and ArcGIS Solutions.

- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other staff; ability to lead individuals towards success in delivering work assignments efficiently and productively, guiding and assisting others as needed.

- Knowledge of wastewater treatment facilities and processes.

- Understand engineering drawings.
- Experience with document management, Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems, and Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
- Experience with MS SharePoint and ESRI's Hub.
- Experience with Arcade and Python scripting languages.
Supplemental Information
Working Conditions:
- Remote and Onsite Work Details: Employees in this role work remotely from a home location, with occasional onsite reporting requirements at the treatment plants. The frequency of onsite work is determined by business needs and may be adjusted accordingly. Onsite reporting locations may be at various King County worksites including the collaboration space at King Street Center (201 S. Jackson St, Seattle, WA 98104) and treatment plant facilities. This work arrangement promotes work-life-balance and reduces carbon footprint under the department's vision of Green Where We Work.
- Requirement: Employees must reside in Washington State and be within a reasonable distance to King County worksites to meet onsite reporting requirements.
- Work Schedule: This full-time position works a 40-hour work week. This position is exempt from the overtime provision of the Fair Labor Standard Act (FLSA) and is not overtime eligible.
