Responsibilities

Position Summary:

Coordinates and assembles process challenge devices for routine production and validation of B. Braun Allentown Sterilization processes. Assists Sterilization Sciences/QA validation in the placement of biological indicators in products and in preparation and maintenance of reference load pallets for validations and special studies. Assists Sterilization Operations and Maintenance as needed. Operates in accordance with company policies and procedures, FDA Regulations, ISO Standards and Canadian Medical Device Regulations, where applicable.

Responsibilities: Essential Duties

  • Performs installations and scheduled maintenance on manufacturing machines and systems. -Repairs the malfunction of machines, systems and auxiliary equipment.
  • Routinely checks on machinery and systems for signs of fault in order to prevent or minimize downtime and interruptions. -Initiates improvement on the functionality of machines and equipment to increase its efficiency.
  • Performs basic carpentry tasks, painting, spackling, etc.
  • Assists in weather preparation and clean up including snow removal - plowing and salting.
  • For more senior position, might act as a team leader to ensure that the work meets agreed targets by directly overseeing team members.

Expertise: Knowledge & Skills

  • Requires working knowledge of technical field/area of specialization. Exercises general application of principles, theories and concepts. Follows established procedures and guidelines.
  • Works under general supervision. May periodically assist in orienting, training, assigning & checking the work of other peers.
  • May require some limited judgement in resolving problems.
  • Contacts are primarily with department supervisors, leads, subordinates, and peers. Frequent contact with external contractors/vendors.

The targeted range for this role takes into account a range of factors that are considered when making compensation and hiring decisions; included but not limited to: skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. Target Based Range

$60,000 to $70,000

Qualifications

Expertise: Qualifications - Experience/Training/Education/Etc

Required:

  • High school diploma/G.E.D or equivalent required, Associate's or technical degree preferred.
  • 03+ years related experience required.
  • Regular and predictable on-site attendance.
  • Ability to work non-standard schedule as needed, On-call hours as needed.
