Job Title: Estimator

Reports to: Division VP of Construction and Purchasing

Status: Full Time / Exempt, Salaried

Job Summary:

Camillo Companies is actively seeking an experienced and skilled Estimator. This role will report directly to the Vice President of Construction & Purchasing.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Estimate new plans and elevations including all plan options.

• Participate in prototype walks to verify takeoffs, building practices, feature level and material usage.

• Oversee / coordinate lumber, sheetrock, millwork, brick, and roofing takeoffs.

• Research / verify bid variances & correct takeoffs as needed.

• Create and maintain tracking document for takeoff requests.

• Create plan cutsheets – joists and rafters.

• Maintain records on bids & pricing.

• Maintain files with product / vendor information.

• Build excellent and fair relationships with trades and vendors.

• Field verify takeoffs and estimates as needed.

• Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Attention to detail.

• Excellent time management skills, detail-orientation and ability to multi-task and prioritize work.

• Effective communication and interpersonal skills

• Experience with PlanSwift, On Screen Estimating, JDE and Hyphen preferred.

Education and Experience:

• 3+ years of experience in an estimating role, preferably for a homebuilder.

• Relevant college background (preferred)
