Water Services - Equipment Operator I:

An Equipment Operator I performs challenging unskilled and semi-skilled work in the maintenance, repair, installation and operation of the water service lines within the city's water system.
Work includes a variety of construction repairs, maintenance assignments, and manual labor including, but not limited to, the installation of new water services that requires tapping of water mains and boring under roadways, abandonment of existing water service lines, upgrading and replacing water meter boxes, restoring of existing ground surfaces (soil, asphalt, concrete). Upgrades/replace meter boxes ad locate underground utilities.
