Grand Hyatt Indian Wells Resort and Villas
Located in Greater Palm Springs, Grand Hyatt Indian Wells features 530 newly transformed luxury guestrooms, suites and casita-style villas. Set within the perfect backdrop within scenic Indian Wells, this property is a destination favorite as it is positioned to take hospitality to a new level in the destination.
The Engineering Manager will be a seasoned individual who will provide the Engineering Director with support in all engineering operations. This will include maintaining the building to standards, accountable for managing budgets and profitability, lead renovation projects, preventative maintenance, and providing guidance to the engineering team.
Duties include:
Take the lead in renovation projects
Assigning repair schedules and evaluating repair cost estimates.
Documenting and preparing daily progress reports and maintenance logs.
Overseeing equipment stock and placing orders for new supplies when necessary.
Responsible for short and long term planning and the management of the Engineering operations
Develop and recommend the budget, labor cost plans and objectives and manages within those approved plans
Work closely with all other Departments
Work closely with vendors to assure proper pricing, delivery, and maintenance
Ensuring all department workers adhere to the safety policies and procedures.
Coach and counsel employees to reflect Hyatt service standards and procedures
The salary range for this position is $66,560 - $72,000. This is the pay range for this position that Hyatt Regency Indian Wells reasonably expects to pay. Decisions regarding individual salaries will be based on a number of factors, such as experience and education.
Qualifications
Successful completion of Facilities Corporate Management Trainee (CMT) program with Hyatt.
Demonstrated ability to effectively interact with people of diverse socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds.
Service oriented style with professional presentations skills
Resort/Hospitality degree an asset
Must possess the following strengths: high energy, entrepreneurial spirit, motivational leader, effective communicator, effective in providing exceptional customer service and ability to improve the bottom line
Clear concise written and verbal communication skills in English
Must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
Must have excellent organizational, interpersonal and administrative skills
