Our national client is seeking a creative, Content Engagement Analyst professional to help inform the newsroom and leadership with insights to cultivate the audience on weather news. If you have a passion for analytics, journalism, and the weather - then this position is for you!
You will work with the Consumer Product team and be responsible for three keys items:
1. Content analysis
2. Picking up on trends found in metrics and translating them into innovative story ideas
3. Develop short-form witty headlines and pitch new story ideas for expanding/engaging the audience.
This is a fully remote, 20 - 40 hour a week role depending on your availability. Workdays that need coverage on a part-time basis would be Saturday and Sunday starting at 6am EST through 3pm EST. If you are interested in more hours on a full-time capacity (40 hours per week), you will work 3 additional weekdays, from 6am-3pm EST.

Responsibilities
-Participate in planning conversations about coverage, video creation, graphics and audience engagement
-Steer the focus and branding of our creative content.
-Manage content placement and promotion across our website, apps and partners and ensure it is current, compelling and accurate.
-Use analytics to make smart programming decisions.
-Dig into analytics to identify audience trends and create user segments, and curate content experiences for those specific segments, including sending targeted notifications.
-Provide real time feedback to the newsroom about what's trending and how to shift coverage.
-Identify trends in user consumption around video and article formats and provide feedback to the content team.
-Pitch and promote our stories, internally and externally.
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated news judgment experience
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, deadlines and time-management
- Must be willing to work occasional nights.
- Must be willing to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday) on weekly basis.
- High familiarity with digital analytics.
