Shift: Monday - Friday 8-4:30

Summary:
Establishes, leads, and manages a comprehensive Workplace Violence Prevention (WPV) program that includes prevention systems, leadership oversight, policies and procedures, reporting systems, data collection and analysis, post incident strategies, training, and education aimed at reducing WPV for employees. Oversees all WPV initiatives, ensures compliance with Joint Commission and CMS standards. standards, and coordinates a multidisciplinary approach to workplace violence prevention, reporting, investigation, and employee support. Serves as the primary leader, managing the WPV Program's policies, governance, and strategic planning to foster a safe work environment for all employees, patients, and visitors. Develops unified policies and oversees a multidisciplinary WPV committee. Leads initiatives to mitigate workplace violence, ensure compliance, and foster a safe environment for employees. Upholds the mission, vision, values, and customer services standards of The MetroHealth System.
Qualifications:
Required:
Preferred: Master's degree in Public Health, Healthcare Administration, or similar. Certification in Workplace Violence Prevention, Healthcare Safety, or related. Previous experience in a healthcare setting with risk management or safety leadership Experience in a hospital environment to include assessment of cost effectiveness of systems, planning and management for space and equipment, management of diverse levels of employees, and planning and implementation of systems and procedures. Physical Demands: May need to move around intermittently during the day, including sitting, standing, stooping, bending, and walking. May need to remain still for extended periods, including sitting and standing. Ability to communicate in face-to-face, phone, email, and other communications. Ability to read job related documents. Ability to use computer.

Qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Public Health, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in healthcare management or workplace safety program management.
- Proven experience in developing and leading organizational programs in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing multidisciplinary teams.
- Knowledge of Joint Commission standards and requirements for workplace violence prevention.
- Proven ability to interact credibly and effectively with all levels of the organization.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with high attention to detail and follow through.
- Ability to use, understand and interpret a wide variety of business-related statistical reports.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills conveying competence and professionalism.
