Director Of Student Engagement

Southeastern Louisiana University's Department of Student Engagement invites applications for the Director of Student Engagement. The Director of Student Engagement will be responsible for providing vision, oversight, and management of campus co-curricular events and activities; identifying and facilitating opportunities to increase student engagement in campus life; expanding opportunities for student leadership; actively contributing to the expansion and transformation of the Southeastern Louisiana University student's experience; and supporting and collaborating with members of the university community. The position directly supervises 4-5 professional staff members and has oversight over 8-10 student employees. The Director of Student Engagement is tasked to promote a welcoming environment that promotes success, collaboration and mentorship between the Student Engagement team and Southeastern Louisiana University's student body.


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Master’s degree in higher education, student affairs, or a related field by hire date

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience in leadership development, program management, and mentoring
Familiarity with project management tools and principles
Experience in higher education, student affairs, or a related field
Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
2 years of supervision experience

DESIRED KNOWLEDGE, ABILITIES AND SKILLS
Demonstrated ability to create efficient systems and streamline operations
Effective project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines
Strong commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive environment
Experience facilitating professional development
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
