Job Summary
Oversee and direct the implementation of the Medline Operating System (MOS) to include design and developmental aspects. In addition to leading the operating system deployment, focus will be on elevating site safety, quality, service, cost, and people key performance indicators. Direct the MOS team and coach all distribution center leadership on operating system routines, leadership standards, and process standards. Monitor business and operational performance through metrics, identifies gaps in performance and facilitates problem solving activities to close performance gaps. Coordinate the ideation, activation, and completion of optimization projects impacting overall operational performance. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lean Initiatives: Develop and implement lean initiatives in distribution centers. Drive decision making regarding project scope and feasibility. Identify business improvement opportunities and facilitate deployment of lean initiatives, best practices, and cost-savings projects.
- Project Management: Oversee, direct, and organize project work within cross-functional teams. Evaluate project performance through statistical analysis, inspections/audits, and validation activities. Complete root cause analysis when problems and obstacles arise.
- Training and Development: Dictate and conduct training on continuous improvement and MOS elements across the network. Ensure team is regularly refining skills and reviewing best practices to continue developing lean improvement tools and mindsets. Mentor staff to drive professional development. Leads and coaches rapid improvement teams.
- Business Performance Management: Assist senior leadership in establishing objectives and key performance indicators for their departments. Provide reporting information on progress, risks, dependencies, budgets, and other business factors for success. Develops strategies to stabilize, simplify, standardize, sustain, and scale improvements with leadership teams.
- Drive Cultural Change: Enhance site leadership and team member motivation. Ensure the organization's ability to successfully implement a business transformation agenda.
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Operations, Business, or Engineering field of study or equivalent work experience
Certification / Licensure
- Lean and/or Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification or equivalent certifications
Work Experience
- At least 6 years of operations and/or continuous improvement experience in an operations and/or distribution environment.
- At least 4 years of experience managing people, including hiring, developing, motivating and directing people as they work
- Experience implementing or working within a business operating systems.
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve high levels of performance.
- Highly experienced professional with excellent communication skills and project management capability.
- Proven track record of developing and implementing successful operational improvement strategies that drive business results.
- Ability to drive change in a status quo environment.
- Strong communication skills - both verbally and in writing independently.

Education
- MBA or Master's degree in Operations, Business, or Engineering field of study
Certification / Licensure
- Lean and/or Six Sigma Black Belt or Master Black Belt certification
- Scrum Certification
Work Experience
- 6+ years of experience implementing or managing business operating systems - inclusive of cross-functional planning routines, leadership standard work, continuous improvement methods, and process standards.
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Statistical Analysis, Program/Project Management, Tableau, and WMS.
- Turnaround management/process improvement/automation initiatives experience.
- Proven track record of developing and implementing operational transformation initiatives creating step-change improvement.
- Strong problem-solving skills, organizational and project management skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to translate complex data into clear and actionable insights for stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and statistical skills.
- Ability to multitask and manage large, complex projects in parallel.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing work accordingly.
- Ability to travel up to 75% of the time.

The anticipated salary range for this position:
$132,600.00 - $199,160.00 AnnualThe actual salary will vary based on applicant's location, education, experience, skills, and abilities. This role is bonus and/or incentive eligible. Medline will not pay less than the applicable minimum wage or salary threshold.
