Director - Central Mesabi Medical Foundation
Job Summary: Will have primary responsibility for fundraising for the Central Mesabi Medical Foundation, including developing and implementing planned giving campaigns, annual employee/physician/donor appeal campaigns, organizing and carrying out related events. Also will have primary responsibility for fiscal sponsor funds for CMMF oversees. The position requires strong interpersonal skills, management competencies, communication skills, and ethical principles.
Job Responsibilities:
*Secures adequate donations to meet annual philanthropy goals
*Identifies, cultivates, solicits and stewards major gift donors.
*Coordinates all gift activity ensuring timely donation deposits and donor stewardship.
*Coordinates fund distributions and philanthropy expenditures.
*Oversees donor/prospect data and upholds stringent and consistent practices for confidential handling and release of information.
*Works independently with organizational skills to prioritize tasks and to exercise judgment consistent with core values.
Experience: Minimum of three (3) years of experience in fundraising, development, marketing, communications, or related field. Experience in coordinating fund raising activities and donor stewardship to meet organizational fundraising goals. Experience in asking for charitable gifts and planning special events. Experience in working with volunteer boards.
Qualifications: Experience in a healthcare setting and in publications and marketing, both in print and digitally preferred/desired, as well as ability and experience working with community leaders.
Education: Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, communications, or related field required.
Candidate must have excellent attention to detail, excellent communication and interpersonal skill, Organizational, time-management and problem-solving skills and Proficiency in Microsoft Office, email, and internet applications, including donor CRM such as Raiser's Edge and knowledge and proficiency of social media platforms, and ability to utilize effectively.
This position does not require formally supervising employees.
