The Department of Geological Sciences at Bridgewater State University consists of five full-time faculty, three part-time faculty, a staff associate, and an administrative assistant. The department is committed to excellence in undergraduate teaching and research. The department has extensive classroom and laboratory space in the Dana Mohler-Faria Center for Science and Mathematics, and has recently procured state-of-the-art equipment, including XRD, XRF, and gas chromatograph machines.Bridgewater State University is an inclusive community dedicated to the lifelong success of all students; focused on the continuous improvement of its people; and is responsible for leading innovation that benefits Southeastern Massachusetts, the commonwealth, and the world. Essential Duties
The Department of Geological Sciences at Bridgewater State University seeks qualified Part Time Faculty who are enthusiastic teachers and dedicated to working with undergraduates for the Fall 2024 semester and Spring 2025 semester.Specific course offerings for which part time faculty are sought:
One section of Physical Geology and Lab (GEOL100)
One section of Forensic Geology (GEOL180)
Required Qualifications
Master's degree in Geological Sciences or related field.Special Conditions for Eligibility
