Our client in the Mortgage / Finance space is seeking a Data and Reporting Analyst. In this role, the candidate will be responsible for updating current reports and creating new reports. Responsibilities include but is not limited to, data preparation and delivering reporting and business intelligence to end users through Power BI. Our main objective will be creating analytics for business units, transitioning our data from multiple sources to a SQL database. This role will not any direct reports.
This individual will need to be near or in Irvine, CA as this will be hybrid onsite, 2 days a week.
Responsibilities and Duties
o Interfacing with internal / external business SMEs to create and maintain operational reporting in Salesforce, Power BI and Excel
o Scoping out business requirements and creating reports from multiple sources
o Creating and maintaining performance queries to expedite data refresh times
o Analyzing and manipulating data as required for ad-hoc analysis
o Isolating and resolving data source issues with limited supervision and oversight
o Collaborating with other team members to assist in data related tasks
Qualification and Skills
o 5+ years of experience with SQL, SSIS, SSRS
o 5+ years of loading, importing, and exporting data into and from databases
o 2+ years of reporting and dashboard creation in Salesforce
o 2+ years of defining DAX measures and modeling in Power BI
o Experience with Python / VBA a plus
o Advanced Excel skills including Power Query
o Good written and verbal communication skills
o Problem-solver with the ability to understand business issues and implement robust solutions
o Excellent organization, prioritization and deadline focus skill sets
o Reliable, self-motivated, and accountable for assigned work
o Bachelors degree or equivalent
o 2+ year mortgage experience preferred
