*Please note this role is based in Zebulon, NC and requires 2-3 days in the office.*

The Cross Border Analyst’s primary duty is to drive operational efficiencies within the clinical supply chain organization using data-driven, analytical methodologies and scenario planning, with the key focus areas consisting of trade compliance data and sanction management, clinical study launch preparedness, business as usual issue resolution, and overall analysis of performance (orders, master data control, vendor metrics, country lead time trending/forecasting).

This role will provide YOU the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career. These responsibilities include some of the following:

  • Subject Matter Expert for export and import systems related to shipping order management, invoicing, trade compliance master data, and reporting i.e. Microsoft Power BI.
  • Responsible for collaborating with internal stakeholders to identify and document requirements for business processes, including moderately complex processes related to trade compliance data and value for Customs calculations.
  • Utilize self-gathered business requirements to identify appropriate reporting and technical solutions and any associated business process enhancements. The position will be responsible for contributing to associated testing and training activities, including documentation and execution.
  • Responsible for project management for smaller sub-projects within the functional area.
  • Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reconciliation of VAT and audit logistic service provider shipment files.
  • Identify data improvements and update the invoicing system master data, when required.
  • Lead the ticketing request service workflow for Harmonized Tarrif Schedule (HTS) codes, Country of origin determination, export/import permit/license determination and value for Customs.
  • Coordinate with Supply Chain Study Lead and other trade compliance teams to create draft proformas for import license applications
  • Create cross border invoices and shipment documentation
  • Conduct export and import courier and Customs brokerage audits using digital tools for efficient time management
  • Develop, maintain, and continuously improve shipment file communication and retention with external partners

Basic Qualifications:

We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, healthcare management, business, computer science, or a scientific/engineering related degree.
  • 2+ years of experience managing master data and/or working in supply chain operations
  • Experience with regulatory pharmaceutical submissions and clinical processes
  • Experience performing finance analyses and determining costs of goods/products
  • Experience in technical applications such as; Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI
  • Experience writing and following SOPs

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Excellent written communications skills and ability to present Power Point video teleconferences with internal customers and external logistics service providers
  • Ability to read and understand English-written job instructions and safety requirements
  • Execute work plan/schedule developed with input from senior team members

  • Requires adaptability, analyzing, assessing, calculating, decision making, dependability, good judgment, reading, memorizing, social skills, speaking, stress control, writing

  • Ability to communicate effectively and follow/retain detailed written and verbal instruction in an accurate, timely, safe, and professional manner with supervisor, group members, and other departments as necessary, in a professional and accurate manner
  • Ability to manage time effectively to complete assignments in expected time frame and independently seek out additional work when tasks are completed ahead of time
  • Detail oriented with ability to work effectively under high pressure with multiple deadlines
  • Strong ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Positive attitude and ability to work with others in different countries
  • Ability to effectively carry out and implement change
