Merchants Bank is seeking an experienced Credit Analyst.  This on-site position can work from any of our Merchants Bank locations in MN and WI.

Primary duties include analyzing moderate to complex financial statements and tax returns accompanying a loan request.  Other responsibilities include financial statement spreading, data analysis highlighting borrowing entity key ratios and financial trends, as well as efficiently preparing the final loan request presentation.  Other main responsibilities include collaboratively working with loan officers and lending assistants, developing a sound understanding and adherence of the bank's loan policies/procedures, as well as serving as a mentor to others within Credit Administration. 

Prefer BS/BA Degree, preferably in Accounting or Finance.  Strong analytical skills; excellent people skills.  Prior experience of 5+ years in lending, underwriting, accounting, or trend analysis preferred with additional background in either a Commercial or Agriculture lending environment also deemed helpful. 

Strong verbal and written communication skills needed along with a “can do” attitude.  In working with others across the bank, the incumbent must possess a very positive and helpful attitude with the ability at times to meet aggressive deadlines.
