Our client is looking for a Creative Director with Strategy to join the team fulltime. This is an onsite role 5 days per week based in Milwaukee. This is not negotiable.
As the CD, you will be responsible for leading a high-performing in-house creative team that produces best-in-class visual and storytelling content for paid media, social channels, landing pages, lifestyle content, and various digital and physical formats. With a focus on driving measurable growth through data-informed creative decisions, this role will oversee all aspects of creative production, from ideation to execution, ensuring that content aligns with the client's brand identity and achieves performance goals.
You will collaborate closely with key internal stakeholders, including marketing, merchandising, and product teams, to ensure that creative outputs align with overarching brand strategy, resonate with target audiences, and leverage the latest social media and digital trends.
Creative Strategy:
- Evolve and improve existing data-driven creative concepts and marketing messaging to enhance performance on platforms such as Meta, TikTok, YouTube, and others.
- Own creative measurement plans, KPIs, and reporting, utilizing insights to continually optimize creative efforts across all channels.
- Partner with rigorous A/B testing and experimentation with creative content to enhance engagement and ROI.
- Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and autonomy within the team, developing junior designers and creatives to maximize their potential, including associates in our overseas office.
- Partner closely with cross-functional teams, including Marketing, Data Analytics etc, to execute cohesive and engaging customer experiences.
Creative Production & Execution:
- Manage the production lifecycle of creative assets for digital and social platforms, including video, photography, email, website content, and print. Oversee pre-production, art direction, and post-production for photo and video shoots, ensuring consistency with brand guidelines and campaign goals. Apply the client's brand guide to creative development without sacrificing performance outcomes.
Innovation:
- Stay up to date with industry trends and platform updates, especially in social media, digital best practices and automation. Leverage AI tools to optimize creative strategies and automate processes for greater efficiency. Identify AI-driven platforms to enhance creative output and scalability. Identify automation solutions and third-party platforms that enhance creative efficiency and output.
- Serve as the creative visionary, ensuring that all content aligns with the brand's purpose and values while achieving performance objectives. Act as a quality control for all creative deliverables, ensuring consistency and excellence across all visual and messaging outputs.
Skills & Requirements:
- 8+ years of experience in a performance-driven creative role, with at least 4 years managing creative teams in apparel and or DTC marketing or advertising context.
- Proven experience in mentoring and developing creative talent, fostering a high-performing and autonomous team culture.
- Strong understanding of direct response marketing, paid media platforms, and digital channels (social, programmatic, email).
- Expertise in visual storytelling, video production, graphic design, typography, and image manipulation; knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite.
- Ability to translate performance data into actionable creative strategies and decisions that drive measurable results.
- Ability to step into design, videography, or editing roles as needed to ensure deliverables are met.
