Specialize in meticulously calculating total product costs across the supply chain, evaluating customer-added value from an end-to-end Total Cost of Ownership perspective, ensuring transparency, supporting cost reductions through supplier negotiations, and identifying cost drivers for product design optimization in I2M projects.

Your role:

• Initiate improvement and optimization activities in close cooperation with your partners in innovation, procurement and operations through applying cost and value engineering levers.

• Enhance the competitiveness and profitability of products and services through cost assessment, design to value, modularization, and standardization

• Responsible for cost and value engineering projects, trainings and coaching.

• Support the engineering and commodity teams to drive forward supplier productivity.

• Establish cost and value engineering as a key process in Philips to support businesses and collaborate across functions to realize improvement roadmaps.

• Drive towards a larger Community of Practice on Cost Engineering topics and processes in Philips.

• Identify best practices, promote knowledge sharing in the network of value engineers, and through this improve our current working processes, methods, tools and standards.

You're the right fit if:

• You’ve acquired 7+ years of working experience in a technology company (e.g. Consumer Electronics, Lighting, Healthcare, Automotive) in product innovation, research, procurement, production/manufacturing, product management/marketing or similar function.

• Your skills include Project management experience gained (lean manufacturing, six sigma programs, consulting), cost management, quality management and/or supply chain management.

• You have a BS/MS degree in a technical subject (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Software Engineering or similar)

• You must be able to successfully perform the following minimum Physical, Cognitive and Environmental job requirements with or without accommodation for this position.
