Sunshine Disposal & Recycling has an opening for a full-time employee as a Spotter/Materials Recovery processor. This is a full time, day-shift position Friday-Monday 6:30am-5:00pm. This job includes assisting with traffic control in an outdoor transfer station setting. Materials recovery will include lifting up to 40 pounds, bending and twisting. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to satisfactorily perform each of the essential duties/responsibilities listed below.

1. Provides continuous visual monitoring of traffic entering and leaving the transfer station site.
2. Visually inspects incoming loads for unacceptable materials
3. Provides exceptional customer service to all residential and commercial customers.
4. Gives directive signals and/or verbal instructions to customer vehicles to optimize safe flow of traffic.
5. Picks up litter and debris on an ongoing basis each day in transfer station and parking lot areas.
6. Searches refuse piles for recyclable materials. Separates recyclables and places into appropriate area/receptacles.
7. Operates forklift when required/requested by supervisor.
8. Attends all necessary meetings as scheduled including safety meetings.
9. Performs all other duties as assigned.

Compensation details: 17-17.5 Hourly Wage
