Our Bioinformatics team is changing the medical field by applying our innovative solutions to cutting-edge R&D for medical diagnoses and treatments.
Objectives of this Role:
- Join project teams to research and develop new autonomy-related objectives for SwRI clients.
- Implement modern and traditional machine learning algorithms that drive decision support systems.
- Find new applications, industries, and clients for novel automation capabilities.
Daily and Monthly Responsibilities:
- Apply state-of-the-art machine learning software solutions for various artificial intelligent system applications.
- Interact with team members to discuss technical solutions to problems.
- Develop tools and techniques to improve our team's research and development capability.
- Interact with clients (and potential clients) to discuss and propose technical solutions to unique problems.
Requirements:
- Requires a Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Software Engineering, Data Engineering, Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
- 0-5 years: BS candidates must have relevant academic research and/or internship experience. MS and PhD candidates must have completed some graduate work related to machine learning or artificial intelligence.
- Familiarity with Python and Git required. Experience with either SQL or NoSQL database development preferred. Experience with web-based GUI development (Flutter or React.js) preferred. Familiarity with Docker or Kubernetes preferred.
- Decision support tool development or Agile full-stack development experience is a plus. Experience meeting HIPAA ePHI requirements a plus. Experience meeting DoDI 8500.1 cybersecurity requirements a plus.
- A valid/clear driver's license is required.
