Job Title: Commercial Services Learning And Development Content Designer
Location: Remote Role
Duration: 6+ Months Contract Role + Possible Extension
Pay Range: $65/hr to $70/hr
Job Description:
We are seeking an enthusiastic Commercial Services L&D Content Designer to evolve training content for the General Managers and Above-Property Leaders. In this role, you will be collaborating closely with the broader Franchise and Owner Relations Group (FORG) team and the Commercial Services organization, where you?ll be instrumental in continuing to make client a leading hospitality company. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position would need to be well-versed in hotel sales, marketing, revenue, and events and understand it in the current state with the ability to apply that knowledge to the various needs and types of hotels. They would need to possess strong strategic, communication, critical-thinking and problem-solving skills, and most importantly, have an affinity for teamwork to support collaboration across many divisions and functional departments. The ideal candidate understands how to build content that will engage learners and give them the ability to demonstrate they can execute what they have learned.
Experience and Qualifications
Required:
- Minimum 7 years hotel experience, including sales with Select and Full Service hotels
- Minimum 3 years of Director of Sales experience in full-service hotel and/or select regional experience, both are a plus
- Strong knowledge of transient, group, and leisure segments and understanding of marketing and revenue management functions
- Proven ability to effectively communicate with varied stakeholder roles and levels
- Experience in designing and developing interactive learning experiences
- Multiple hotel and brand experience is a plus
- Knowledge and use of Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Forms)
- Envision, EAS, TravelClick 360, Opera, Reserve, and Lanyon RFP proficiency
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks with attention to detail
- Comfortable working in a remote environment
- Outstanding project management, time management, and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrates a commitment to core values
- Being based in the Chicagoland area is a plus!
- Experience in a management role
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Applied Learning Development, or a related field
- HSMAI CHSL, CRME, CHDM ( Certification | HSMAI Global) Preferred
- Experience with Kahoot! online game-based learning platform
- Ability to travel primarily in the region - approx 50%
- Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
- Highly self-motivated and directed with the ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks while under pressure.
