Start something special today. Northmarq was voted by Real Estate Forum as one of The Best Places to Work in Commercial Real Estate!    This position assists with the development and supervision of a team within the Insurance department.  Associate Managers ensure that their team complies with service agreement responsibilities, minimizing risk for the company and investors.  Associate Managers are responsible for assisting with hiring, training, developing and evaluating staff performance, with a high emphasis on developing and growing staff members.  They are expected to achieve individual objectives, including growth towards the Commercial Insurance Manager position, while working within their team to reach annual goals and accomplish strategies.  Additional responsibilities may be added to adapt to company growth.   *This position is an in-office position, with an immediate start date.   Position Responsibilities:   Organization & Planning

• Plan and schedule own workload to most efficiently meet daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, semi-annual and annual benchmarks.
• Perform quality control monitoring to promote accuracy, identify development opportunities and establish consistency.
• Enforce policies and procedures pertaining to insurance administration, as needed.

Staff Development

• Assist with developing, training and assessing the competencies of the analysts. Serve as a resource of technical knowledge.
• Assist with identifying growth areas for individual staff and facilitate the necessary coaching/mentorship/opportunities to assist in employee growth.
• Direct and motivate staff through daily interaction, and workload discussion.
• Assist with the interviewing, hiring and evaluation of staff performance processes, as needed.
• Assist with conducting monthly, quarterly and annual meetings with staff; allowing for open communication and frequent feedback surrounding job performance and growth.

Execution & Direction

• Demonstrates continued growth and development towards the Commercial Insurance Manager position.
• Provide leadership for staff responsible for investor and lender insurance guidelines, in relation to servicing commercial mortgage loans.
• Provide effective and efficient training, to ensure the growth and development of staff.
• Assist with administering competency and performance reviews as scheduled.  Assist with analyzing annual compensation in relation to employee’s annual performance review.
• Ensure that the highest level of customer service is provided to all customers, internally and externally.
• Participate on leadership teams, councils, and strategy groups.
• Participate in annual conferences, lender visits, and monthly conference calls.
• Perform/lead other reasonable tasks/projects, as assigned.

  What We're Looking For:

• Bachelor’s degree, with preferred emphasis in Business Administration, Finance or Real Estate
• 2 to 4 years’ leadership/supervisory experience or a demonstrated ability to lead staff; and experience with commercial property insurance and/or asset management
• Required knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Knowledge of commercial insurance coverages, policy performance and associated risks
• Ability to analyze commercial asset characteristics, risk and the related insurance coverages
• Knowledge of mortgage performance metrics and terminology
• Ability to maintain sensitive and confidential information
• Demonstrated leadership abilities
• Ability to lead both independently and collaboratively within a team, with minimal supervision
• Effective customer relationship management
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple projects, assignments and prioritize to meet deadlines
