Chopper Gel Coat Operator
Location: Onsite - Brownwood, TX Competitive Compensation: Starting at $22.56per hour, with an additional $1.00 per hour for night shifts. Shift Needed: 3rd Shift, 5:00 pm - 5:30 am, Sun - Thurs. Opportunity We are looking for Chopper Gel Coat Operator in our Plastics Department. This position will be based at our Brownwood, TX location, where we specialize in manufacturing high-quality kitchen and bathroom products, including luxury bathtubs and toilets. Crafting Excellence: Your Responsibilities Applies gel coat/FRP in a multi-stage manufacturing process to achieve uniform coverage that meets desired laminate thickness within targeted weight standards. Works as a member of the glassing team in a paced manufacturing cell with limited time allotted to each process step or operation. Utilizes established techniques and adopted best practices to ensure consistency of Quality, minimal interruptions to workflow, and minimization of any form of waste in the manufacturing cell. Operates, inspects, & adjusts spray equipment to insure optimum performance and serviceability. Reports maintenance needs immediately to supervision. Utilizes personal protective equipment (PPE) to include respiratory protection and maintains issued PPE in a serviceable condition by following work instructions and/or safety practices. Maintains safe work areas by routinely cleaning and organizing materials/equipment according to the 5S principals. Performs other duties as assigned by supervision. Ready to make a bold impact? Here's the qualifications we are looking for: Key Qualifications Must be able to work in the US without restrictions or sponsorship. Effective communication skills for manufacturing production processes. Must be at least 18 years old. Preferred Qualifications 1 year of manufacturing experience. Requires moderate physical demand. Requires ability to process a designated number of units. Must be able to work scheduled overtime. Possibility of reduced work hours. Skilled with the use of calibrated gauges and measuring tools/equipment. Must also have good attention to detail and be able to detect out of tolerance conditions. Must be able to read/interpret and apply detailed work instructions and utilize visual aids/charts to ensure manufacturing design/specifications are met. Must be able to work in a team environment. Must have ability to distinguish between shades of colors. Working knowledge of gel coat/FRP process and industry standards is desired.
