As
a Chemical Operator - Level 2 here at Honeywell, you will play a crucial role
in the safe and efficient operation of our chemical manufacturing processes.
You will be responsible for monitoring equipment, controlling process
parameters, and ensuring the quality and quantity of the products. Your
attention to detail and expertise in chemical operations will contribute to the
overall success of our operations.
You will report directly to supervisor and you'll
work out of our Bryan, TX location on a rotating shifts 7 days on/ 7 days. Shift
hours: 5AM-5PM day shift and 5PM to 5AM night shift.
In this role, you will impact the production and quality of our chemical
products, ensuring that they meet the highest standards of excellence.
KEY
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Participates in continuous improvement events and routinely participates in 5S activities.
- Actively participates in shift relief (Tier 1 meeting).
- Shuts down process units during emergencies and alerts supervisor of action taken.
- Participates on process improvement teams.
- Makes scheduled routine inspections of operating areas to observe operating conditions and reports any irregularities.
- Makes process changes as necessary to meet various operational requirements.
- Complete scheduled operation PM's.
- Follows standard practices and procedures as established for plant operations.
- Modifies/Reviews operating procedures on an annual basis.
- Required member of emergency response team.
- Potential OJT certification and training of new operators as required.
- Performs all necessary housekeeping duties in area.
- Hazardous waste sampling, hazardous waste packaging/loading duties, container marking and labeling, hazardous waste container handling and management, respond to chemical spills and releases, and conduct and document routine inspections
- Performs all other duties as required / assigned.
- Able to climb 50 foot of stairs at times, Able to work in PPE, Able to open close valves. Able to lift up to 35 pounds.

YOU MUST HAVE
- 3+ years' experience working within a manufacturing environment preferred
- Valid driver's license

- Experienced in a chemical manufacturing plant preferred
- Experience with OSHA/PSM regulations
- Knowledgeable in safety, quality and process controls
- High School Diploma or GED
