Job Purpose & Responsibilities: Production chemists use their knowledge of chemicals and composition to help produce various products used in the plating industry. They work with production staff to ensure that production meets all deadlines, as well as quality standards. This is a manufacturing environment, not a biological environment, where work is done in the shop to collect samples from tanks, etc.
- Perform titrations, Atomic Absorption Spectrometer analysis, Salt Spray testing, and other analysis and testing as needed
- Maintain and document chemical analysis & material usage
- Assist Lab Manager in training personnel
- Assist Lab Manager in scheduling bath changes, treatment, addition, and preventative maintenance
- Research and develop new products from chemical suppliers
- Troubleshoot production line chemical problems in a timely manner, involving suppliers as necessary
- Develop and maintain written procedures for all chemical activities and analysis
- Keep work areas, lab equipment, floors, countertops, cabinets, etc. clean
- Organize and maintain lab supplies

- Fluently read, write, speak, and understand the English language
- Must be a US citizen or have authorization to work in the US
- Must be able to read a ruler/tape measure and analog clock
- Ability to be on time and work scheduled shift
- Ability to pay attention to detail and follow written instructions
- Ability to work independently and as a team
- Ability to follow safety procedures to avoid injuries
- Ability to stand, twist, lift, pinch, walk, bend, kneel as needed
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Basic computer entry skills (preferred)

Job Specific Requirements:
- 2-5 years in manufacturing/production environment or college degree in chemistry
- Good organizational skills and the ability to follow instructions
- Ability to lift and move 1-50 lbs. as needed
- Ability to interact with co-workers and supervisors in a cooperative manner
- Math skills required
- Ability to manage multiple jobs simultaneously
- Ability to work independently without supervision

Shift & Wage:

Wage: $26.00/hour
(Reviews: 60 days and 6 months, then twice a year, which may come with a rate increase, providing the employee meets company and performance standards)
Signing Bonus: $1500 (current employees are not eligible for signing bonus)
