The Opportunity
Hyatt seeks an enthusiastic Manager, Central Services, Sales to join our growing Central Sales Management department, where you’ll focus on developing and executing a Sales Strategy for a portfolio of Select Service hotels. The Role
The Manager, Central Services, Sales Strategy role is ideal for someone who has demonstrated through performance a thorough understanding and competence in Select Service hotel strategy, Group & Transient sales, Hyatt systems, and the hotel/business travel industry. The position will be responsible for assessing a portfolio of Select Service hotels and assembling a successful sales strategy to help achieve hotel goals. They will also be responsible for the execution of the strategy: including coordination of the Group and Transient segments, Marketing Plan, and Business Development efforts. This person will utilize Envision, TravelClick, and other sales tools to promptly assess opportunities and track actions. As the team continues to grow, this position will be responsible for managing a team of Specialists who will execute the same processes outlined above.
They will have thorough experience with professional selling skills: opening, probing, supporting, and closing. Must possess exceptional negotiating skills. Must be proficient in general computer knowledge and able to train and monitor the use of Envision. Communication and organizational skills are of utmost importance for this position. The person should also have the ability to analyze data in Excel and create presentations for leadership in PowerPoint.
Qualifications
Experience Required:
•A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment
•Refined verbal and written communication skills
•Strong organization and presentation skills
•Must be able to work independently and simultaneously manage multiple tasks
•Must be outgoing and a proven self-starter
•A minimum of 3-5 years of hotel sales or comparable experience preferred
•Must be proficient in general computer knowledge, Microsoft Suite, Envision, Opera, and Cvent
•Previous Select Service leadership experience
Experience Preferred:
•Bachelor’s degree
•TravelClick knowledge
