The Costco Digital Services Division is inviting students currently enrolled in an IT undergraduate or graduate program at a college or university to participate in a 12-week paid internship program during the Summer of 2025. Interns will work within specific areas in Costco’s Information Systems Division. Interns will attend presentations given by various members of Executive Management from IT and other areas of the Company. Interns will be responsible for their own travel and accommodation expenses. Housing is not provided. The program runs mid-June to early September and is located in Issaquah, WA. No out of state work allowed.

The Costco Logistics Business Solutions team works closely with the end users to gather operational project requirements to build technical requirements that are used to create DevOps stories for Costco Logistics application development teams that deliver the end product to the users.

Business Analysts are responsible for eliciting and documenting requirements that are clear, concise, and testable. Business Analysts define a set of requirements that translate into solutions and technology systems, and communicate these to the client and other stakeholders. Business Analysts work closely with end users, business unit representatives, development teams, Product Owners, and others, in all stages of the project lifecycle from beginning to end. This Business Analyst intern will assist with producing data for Product Owners and development teams to utilize in creating business and functional requirements.

NOTE: While participating in the IT Internship program, an individual will be classified as an hourly temporary employee for the duration of the program. During the program, the individual may be asked to undergo the normal interview process for a level 1 position. If the individual is offered a position, they will be converted to the employment status matching open job they were selected for. Internships last for twelve weeks. If they are not selected for a regular position, the internship position will be complete in a maximum of twelve weeks.

● Puts together project requirements while identifying existing unplanned enhancement requests that may fit within approved project scope.

REQUIRED

● Understanding of business requirements elicitation and stakeholder management.

● Proficient in requirements gathering, business modeling, user journey modeling/documenting, project scoping, and use case creation.

● Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.

● Possess good organizational, time, and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize, and stay well organized.

● Must be maintaining a GPA of 3.0 or higher.

● Must be students currently enrolled in an IT undergraduate or graduate program at a community college, college or university.
