The Business Manager at RecWell is responsible for developing and overseeing the long-term and day-to-day business and finance operations for the University Golf Course units. Responsibilities include: budgeting, accounts receivable, accounts payable, procurement, inventory, contract and grant accounting, forecasting, revenue tracking, and other duties as assigned. This position will work with departmental, divisional and institutional leadership to implement and monitor business policies, procedures, and practices, to ensure compliance.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
- Three (3) years of professional human resources, payroll, finance, accounting, procurement, or travel coordination experience. Additional work experience as defined above may be substituted on a year for year basis for up to four (4) years of the required education.
- Knowledge of human resources policies and procedures, and federal, state, and other applicable human resources related laws, rules, regulations, and ordinances.
- Skill in oral and written communication.
- Skill in the use of Microsoft Office products.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize assignments.
- Ability to interpret and apply policies, procedures, regulations, and laws.
Preferences
- Fundamental knowledge of the game of golf, rules of golf, golf facility operations and tournament operations.
- Experience working in a university or college
- Supervisory experience.
- Ability to multitask while demonstrating a commitment to customer service and sensitivity to a culturally and ethnically diverse community.
- Strong organizational, planning and prioritization skills.
- Service and customer focused attitude.
