About this position:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Inside Sales Representative with experience in building materials sales. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of construction materials and the ability to read blueprints to offer accurate product recommendations. This role involves managing inbound and outbound sales calls, processing orders, assisting customers with technical inquiries, and ensuring timely delivery of materials to meet project deadlines.
You will be responsible for:
- Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, and in person, providing accurate information on building materials and solutions.
- Process and manage customer orders, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and project specifications to recommend appropriate materials.
- Maintain and develop strong customer relationships, offering personalized service to meet their needs.
- Collaborate with the sales team, vendors, and warehouse staff to ensure smooth order fulfillment.
- Follow up with customers to ensure satisfaction and gather feedback for continuous improvement.
- Track and meet sales targets and performance goals.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, new product offerings, and building material innovations.
- Provide product expertise and guidance on material selection, ensuring customers are fully informed.
- Resolve any issues related to orders, returns, or product defects in a professional and timely manner.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with customers.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and CRM software.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
- High school diploma required; a degree or certification in construction or related field is a plus.
