Enterprise IT (EIT) is an essential component of the division that provides support to the Pharmaceutical Research, our Research & Development Division, Supply Chain our Manufacturing Division, Marketing Human Health organizations as well as Enabling Functions.
The SAP Platform Team, part of the EIT organization, owns our Company's SAP Global Template which enables enterprise-level capabilities through harmonized business processes and data. The team is responsible for the operation of all SAP and integrated solutions, governance of the associated enterprise assets, and cost-effective delivery of capabilities to support achievement of immediate and future state business objectives.
This Associate Director role will report into our Planning & Execution Role Management & Training (RM&T) function. This function manages processes and tools enabling system access, end user training, business readiness for solution deployment and on-going sustainment.
This Associate Director role will be responsible for:
Strategy & Leadership:
Management and evolution of End User Training (EUT) strategy, and related processes and tools, for SAP Platform team in alignment with broader SAP Platform and EIT team strategy and objectives
Leadership of efforts related to definition & evolution of EUT strategy for Comet platform. (Learning strategies, delivery methods, content development, extended training network, training environment & data, usage of SAP Learning Hub, etc.)
Provide thought leadership / insight into future state EUT strategies to support our Company's journey to S/4
Ownership of, and accountability for:
SAP Global Template (COMET) End User Training Curriculum
COMET Training Environment (in partnership with P&E colleagues leading program's broader landscape management strategy & execution
COMET Extended Training Network (and related T3/T4 "train the trainer" programs)
SAP Platform Team primary point of contact with enterprise learning organization and enabling technologies (e.g. Success Factors)
SAP Learning Hub
Management of objectives & key results (OKRs), issue resolution, budget, and resource planning for EUT items outlined above
Engagement with SAP Platform Leadership team representing End User Training service line related requirements in new "Ways of Working" related to Demand & Delivery Management and supporting tools (Jira).
Support of EUT related Audit and Compliance-related analysis and monitoring
Technology & Tools:
Various technologies which Role Management & Training team uses regularly to meet its core objectives:
Ownership of EUT-related data in TRACE (Tools, Roles, Access, Communications, End User Training) tool which is the system of record for the COMET global role design documentation and training curriculum.
Maintaining the COMET Curriculum in Success Factors and posting of training simulations in Content Central.
Managing COMET training specific team sites and shared drives (e.g. Instructor CoP team site, Training Working Documents shared site, etc.)
SAP Deployment & Sustainment:
Accountable for execution of key EUT-related activities enabling new deployments of COMET capabilities, and managing EUT-related Solution Sustainment activities.
These activities include:
Deployments / Projects:
Partner with regional Change Management global and regional leads to provide guidance on End User Training strategy.
Accountable to assure appropriate levels of global support for deployment project teams in areas of
Calendar development strategy, build and management
Management of centralized reporting to support execution (e.g. training completion reports)
Activities related to centralized role provisioning activities to finalize role assignments in COMET production environments
Sustainment:
Accountable for Instructor Network & Community of Practice
Accountable for EUT related efforts associated with production support (training environment, training data, accounting for enhancements with EUT impacts in Live Markets, etc.)
Position Qualifications:
Education Minimum Requirement:
Bachelor's Degree Required.
Required Experience and Skills:
8+ years of Business Readiness / End User Training experience associated with technology enabled change projects or programs.
Extensive experience with learning strategy development.
Extensive experience with SAP role design, training, and managing system access in an S/4 environment is required.
Significant experience managing medium to large projects (developing plans, identifying resource requirements, tracking progress, managing issues, etc.)
Personal accountability, teaming, and organizational skills to drive and track success.
Ability to collaborate in a matrix organization, participating in cross-divisional projects and building peer relationships.
Strong interpersonal skills and a track record of interacting with executive stakeholders.
Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
Aptitude and interest for learning new technology.
Aptitude for 'translating' business needs into relevant technical strategies and solutions.
Excellent communication skills
Preferred Skills:
Experience with Agile Methodologies, Demand Management Tools (Jira) and collaboration tools (Confluence, Mural, MS Teams) is preferred.

U.S. Hybrid Work Model
Effective September 5, 2023, employees in office-based positions in the U.S. will be working a Hybrid work consisting of three total days on-site per week, generally Tuesday, Wednesday and either Monday or Thursday, although the specific days may vary by site or organization, with Friday designated as a remote-working day, unless business critical tasks require an on-site presence. The Company is required to provide a reasonable estimate of the salary range for this job in certain states and cities within the United States. Final determinations with respect to salary will take into account a number of factors, which may include, but not be limited to the primary work location and the chosen candidate's relevant skills, experience, and education.
Expected US salary range:
