Associate Director, Ethics and Compliance Office (ECO) Operations

The Ethics & Compliance Office (ECO) serves as the voice of ethics and integrity for our Company, making sure it is always top-of-mind with employees and providing counsel when needed. The ECO Operations Team provides cross-functional support and uses a collaborative "one team" approach. Each team member has core responsibilities but is expected to assume additional developmental opportunities consistent with their experience and skills which enables individual development, personal growth and overall effective support by the Operations Team. The Associate Director position will report to the Executive Director, ECO Operations. Primary responsibilities include providing compliance support to the Global Support Functions (GSF) including Human Resources, IT, Finance, and Procurement in addition to supporting ECO's periodic compliance reporting and other high priority operational initiatives.

Required Experience and Skills:

  • BA/BSrequired; advanced degree in business, marketing, law, or public policy

  • Minimum of (7) years professional work experience in a Compliance or control function role

  • Proven ability to counsel divisional and functional leaders on compliance strategy and goals

  • Strong understanding of requirements for implementing the elements of an effective Compliance program for a large, complex, matrixed organization

  • Strong collaborator with proven track record in leading cross-functional teams

  • Independent achiever with proven judgment skills in handling complex issues

  • Strong influencing and negotiation skills, including with senior leaders

  • Strong project management and IT skills

  • Proven experience driving innovation and change management

  • Strong written and oral communications and presentation skills

  • Problem solver willing to take on new challenges

  • Works with a sense of urgency, efficiency, and pays strong attention to detail

Preferred Experience and Skills:

  • Global experience in a pharmaceutical company

Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Advise and partner with GSF leadership in support of Corporate Compliance Goals

  • Provide GSF counseling, guidance, policy interpretations, and/or triage to subject matter experts

  • Review GSF Conflict of Interest submissions and support COI tool enhancements

  • Support efforts to standardize ECO's risk assessment and mitigation processes

  • Support efforts to assess compliance program effectiveness and implement key controls, standards, and processes consistent with OIG and DOJ guidance

  • Evolve Audit Committee and Senior Management reporting content and related processes

  • Drive successful execution of cross-functional projects by ensuring effective stakeholder management, communications and business alignment

  • Lead other ECO projects and initiatives as needed

Location: US UG or RY, Global;Hybrid Model (3 days in office, 2 days remote);

U.S. Hybrid Work Model

Effective September 5, 2023, employees in office-based positions in the U.S. will be working a Hybrid work consisting of three total days on-site per week, Monday - Thursday, although the specific days may vary by site or organization, with Friday designated as a remote-working day, unless business critical tasks require an on-site presence.This Hybrid work model does not apply to, and daily in-person attendance is required for, field-based positions; facility-based, manufacturing-based, or research-based positions where the work to be performed is located at a Company site; positions covered by a collective-bargaining agreement (unless the agreement provides for hybrid work); or any other position for which the Company has determined the job requirements cannot be reasonably met working remotely. The Company is required to provide a reasonable estimate of the salary range for this job in certain states and cities within the United States. Final determinations with respect to salary will take into account a number of factors, which may include, but not be limited to the primary work location and the chosen candidate's relevant skills, experience, and education.

Expected US salary range:

$126,500.00 - $199,100.00
