The Team

We are seeking an Acquisitions Associate to join American Tower’s U.S. Tower division’s Asset Acquisition team within our Corporate Development and Portfolio Management organization. The Asset Acquisition team fuels revenue and growth through analysis and acquisition of new and innovative assets. Day to day you will negotiate business terms for rooftop, ground, and other capital lease acquisitions. As an Acquisition Associate, you will partner cross-functionally to deliver to senior management account updates and pipeline metric reporting.

What You Can Offer Us

  • Originate, negotiate and manage real estate transactions acquiring new rooftop and ground assets, and where applicable, obtain optimized operational and contractual rights to maximize future revenue opportunities. Project manage and close a high volume of transactions each year
  • Achieve annual targets relative to originations and closings within designated cycle times.
  • Prepare, and present to landowners, written and verbal offers/presentations.
  • Provide to management ongoing communication and reports on the status of negotiations for revenue stream buyouts, easements, and land purchases.
  • Review proposed lease language and associated materials to identify issues; partner with appropriate functional teams, including Legal Operations, to resolve.
  • Manage administrative elements of closing transactions, including execution of legal documents.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Compensation for this role includes a base wage between $65,000 and $90,000 and will vary based on experience. 

What You Need To Succeed

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, or Finance preferred.
  • Legal, structured settlement, business development, sales, and/or real estate experience preferred.
  • Approximately 25% travel may be required in support of the position’s responsibilities.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, including the ability to present ideas and suggestions clearly and effectively.
  • Ability to work with different functional groups and levels of employees to effectively and professionally achieve results.
  • Strong organizational skills; ability to accomplish multiple tasks within the agreed upon timeframes through effective prioritization of duties and functions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to use Excel, Word, and Salesforce; ability to understand financials models and concepts.
