Job Summary

The Pharmacy Community College Connect, PC3 Assistant Program Manager is an entry level position that provides administrative and program management for PC3 Program in the College of Pharmacy, along with administrative duties as assigned.

This position will report to the Assistant Dean for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion.

Responsibilities*

  • Serve as the primary point of contact and support for PC3 students, families, and internal and external stakeholders (2-year institutions, advisory board members, community partners). 
  • Oversee the PC3 Summer Program, including managing travel, making housing arrangements, arranging job shadowing, site visits, and group outings.
  • Handle administrative projects and assignments, including responding to program inquiries, and advisory board administrative needs (organize meetings, minutes and communications, etc.). Conduct analyses (primarily quantitative) of the program and interpret & synthesize the results for reports.  Generate student and program data reports to analyze progress towards goals, identify areas of need, and report out to funders/stakeholders. Present evaluation findings and reports to leadership, advisory boards, and funders.
  • Manage a diverse range of community partners, mentors, experts in the field, faculty, students who are stakeholders in PC3. 
  • Manage student and advisory board events, including: travel accommodations, event schedules, on-site setup, and facility and catering reservations.

Required Qualifications*

  • Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience 
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and editing skills
  • Demonstrated ability to establish excellent working relationships with faculty, staff, students and prospective students and their families.
  • Must have the ability to work comfortably with individuals at all levels.
  • Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated high level of critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work on diverse projects simultaneously, and ability to adapt to changing demands and priorities.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Demonstrated savvy in relation to digital environments and an openness to learning new software tools as those environments change. 
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of multiple facets of diversity: cultural, ethnic, racial, religious, gender, educational, age, sexual orientation, linguistic, professional, and other differences that make us unique.
  • Proficient in MS Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Qualtrics, and Google Apps (Docs, Sheets, etc); proficient in using Outlook calendar features; proficient in using Zoom
  • Experience with a range of program evaluation methods including survey design and assessment.

Desired Qualifications*

  • Experience working with students from community and/or tribal colleges and supporting them in the transfer process.
  • Experience with academic administration
  • Experience in the creation, implementation, and management of programming.
  • Knowledge of the needs of students from community and/or tribal colleges.
  • Knowledge of community and/or tribal college cultures.
  • Knowledge of University of Michigan policies and procedures, and systems.
  • Experience with social media platforms and virtual meeting platforms.
  • An understanding of the challenges faced by minoritized groups in higher education

Work Locations

This position will be based in the College of Pharmacy building, 428 Church St., Ann Arbor, MI.

Modes of Work

This is a full-time position.  The DEI unit currently works in person Monday-Thursday and off campus on Fridays. The College reserves the right to change remote work status with notice to employees. 

Positions that are eligible for hybrid or mobile/remote work mode are at the discretion of the hiring department. Work agreements are reviewed annually at a minimum and are subject to change at any time, and for any reason, throughout the course of employment. Learn more about the work modes.

Additional Information

Salary will be commensurate with the selected candidate's qualifications and experience.
