The School of Education in the College of Applied Studies at Wichita State University invites applications for an 12-month full-time assistant clinical professor of education and director of our Transition to Teaching program, beginning in June 2025. We seek an expert in areas related to, but not limited to, alternative teacher education, preparing individuals who are changing careers to become teachers, and middle and high school teacher education. We are looking for a collaborative colleague to lead our alternative certification program in the School of Education and join an engaged and inclusive faculty at Kansass only urban public research university.
As a faculty member in the School of Education, the successful candidate will teach graduate level classes in the summer, fall, and spring as part of our alternative teacher preparation program. The new faculty member will also work with various populations of students, colleagues, and community, engage in grant seeking activities, and provide service to the program, department, college, university, and profession.
